Does Lettuce Have Nutritional Value?

Iceberg lettuce may be lower in nutrients than some other types of lettuce but it still serves as a good source of essential nutrients.


Iceberg lettuce is low in sodium, and very low in saturated fat and cholesterol. It is also a good source of Thiamin, Vitamin B6, Iron and Potassium, and a very good source of Dietary Fiber, Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Vitamin K, Folate and Manganese


Green Leaf lettuce contains the highest number of nutrients, with romaine and butterhead coming in second, and iceberg in third.
