Write For Us: Guidelines For Writing A Guest Post

You want to guest post and we welcome it. Please email us your idea for a post and if we like it, we will ask you to prepare the full post.

Guidelines: General Tips

  • Our main visitors to the site are Canadians looking for review/information on all kinds of doctors. Keep this in mind while writing your post.
  • Decorate your content with Canadian stats (with references to source of the data).
  • Pitch your idea before you write a massive guest post. I don’t want you to spend hours writing if I can’t publish your post.
  • The post should be of high quality and provides VALUE to the visitors of our site.
  • Be unique, creative and original.
  • Use words at Grade 8 level.
  • Keep your posts conversational in nature which are engaging.
  • Readers first, SEO second. If people love your post Google will love it too.

  • Promote yourself or any service that you provide. However, you can link to a product of yours in the Bio. In the body of the post, only mention products if they are 100% relevant to your story.
  • Insult or behave like a troll. We like controversial issues, but with respect.
  • Expect to earn money. We do not pay for our guest bloggers. However, we can add one Google Adsense ad to the post. All earnings from this post are yours!
  • Pay to be published.
  • Re-publish your post elsewhere. MUST PASS COPYSCAPE.

Who Can Submit A Guest Post?

Anybody, but we prefer people in the medical field.

However, if you have an interesting story to tell, we will publish your post.

  • How To Series e.g. How to find the right dentist? Or How to manage dental pain? How to renew health card? Etc.
  • Your views or issues with Canadian health care.
  • Any medical ailment, cure, prevention etc.

What’s In It For You?

All earnings from your ad is yours as the advertisement is tied to your Adsense account.

Besides money, we provide a great platform for you to express your ideas and knowledge and reach a large audience.

OurDoctor.ca has around 10.000 monthly visitors.

You can get a few links back to your blog and online profiles.

  • Main content: Here’s the meaty part, show us what you are made of.  The use of stats (with source), pictures, quotes, facts and the like is welcome.
  • Wrap-up: Close what you started in the introduction. What is the conclusion? Repeat your call-to-action for the readers and encourage them to comment.

  • Length: 2-4 sentences.

Editing And Revisions

  • Most likely we will do some copy-editing on your guest posts. Our goal is not to make it ours, but to add clarity and an extra punch.
  • We might correct some spelling mistakes, rephrase here and there, change some words, shorten paragraphs and reorder them.
  • We are going to look closely at the guest post tittle and the first paragraph. These parts are the ones that will make your post be widely read.
  • We will submit to you our revisions for your ok or asking for more revisions from your side. Do not feel offended or embarrassed, we just want your post to be as good as possible.

When Is It Published?

Once we agree on a final version of your guest post we will let you know when it will be published.  You might have to wait for publication anything between days and weeks, depending on how busy the publication queue is.

If you have a preferred date and time of publication, let us know and we will try to accommodate your wishes.

Rights And Republishing Terms
